Pint Sized and Fabolous

I was watching E News as I do everyday. And, a story of a 10 year old model sparked my interest. Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau made headlines for her racy photo shoot for French Vogue, which reignited a debate about sexualization with young girls. For some, in the fashion industry, the sultry stare in the photo's from the pint sized model made some drool, but left other parents outraged. The high heels, makeup and haute couture questions how appropriate these photos are for a minor. Some called her model spread "sad and repulsive" while others say they found nothing sexual about her photos. I would have to agree. I thought her photos displayed professionalism and experience beyond her years. This little lady is pint-sized and fabulous! I see a star in the making! Remember, you heard that HERE!

Over the weekend, I was invited to Tamia's Annual Summer Cookout. I love attending Tamia's cookout. I think every year it gets bigger and grand-er (is that a word?) There is an array of food and drinks, and I get to catch up with old friends and bond with new ones. Drinks were flowing and the DJ was jamming. So, of course that lead to some adult games and dancing!!

Brunch with The Gals

Hey Dolls-


Teia works on Sunday's, therefore whenever she has a day off the girls and I meet for brunch at the Marriott Waterfront. The food is absolutely amazing!! And the all you can drink Mimosa's are a plus. Besides filling our tummies and pleasing our palettes - we also had some business to discuss. Teia is turning 30!!!!! Whoop Whoop!!! *Doing a two step* Another year older and wiser if I may say. We take milestone Bday's very seriously. So, we went into planning mode. Stay tuned to my upcoming posts to see how we celebrated Teia's 30th Bday.

It's a Photoshoot! We take pics everywhere! To be honest, sometimes I get tired of smiling and taking pictures. Then, I browse thru my camera at all of the memories I'm capturing. And, I remember how important it is to build memories with friends and family.

After brunch, we took a "hot" stroll to take in the sights and do some light shopping at the Harbor East. As we were walking we passed an exquisite piece of art. I have walked passed this sculpture a ton of times, never realizing how interesting it is. The waterfall and the metallic gold sculpture made it a perfect spot for photos. lol

Sassanova and Handbags in the City! We persuaded Teia to purchase a new handbag. Its like pulling teeth with this young lady! But, we made her swipe the plastic! SMH. lol

The best concert/album in history is in preparation to hit the nation. Its pandemonium people!!! Jay-z and Kanye's collaborative highly anticipated album "Watch The Throne" is set to be released on August 8 on ITunes. And you can purchase physical copies on August 12.  Everyone knows that I'm Jay-z's biggest fan. I've been riding the Jay-z train since Reasonable Doubt. Kanye and Jay-z under the same roof is going to be bananza!! This is real rap at its best! I'm an old school hip hop fan! These new age rappers like, Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy are in no comparison to his real and raw lyrics.  He is one of a few MC's who can effortlessly glide over a track and destroy a verse with fire!! Hov's first-hand narratives has become that of a legend. Selling out Madison Square Garden, branding a clothing and sneaker line and assuming an executive role as President and CEO of Def Jam Records (which he later stepped down).  Say what you like! But, he's not a Businessman, he's a Business Maaaaaan!!! 

Mr. West is in the building... KanyeWest….Producer, rapper, writer, entrepreneur, jack of all trades. Anything this man touch, turns to Platinum. The other king on the Throne, is nothing less than a "musical genius."  Lyrically, Kanye and Hov are undeniably the best rappers ever!!! Now this of course, is a matter of opinion. However, if you have two ears, I’m sure you would have to agree with me.
