Mr. West is in the building... KanyeWest….Producer, rapper, writer, entrepreneur, jack of all trades. Anything this man touch, turns to Platinum. For some, he’s most popular for his questionable award show rants and un-predictable behavior. In 2009, Kanye stormed the stage after Taylor Swift was presented with the Best Female Video of the Year. He grabbed the mic from the teen star, protesting that Beyonce had the best video. West rants are usually proclaiming his own work. At the American Music Awards in 2004, Kanye declared he was robbed of the Best Artist Nomination.
While, some may think Mr. West is insane. I think he is a Genius!!! Wait a minute……hear me out! Since when is bad publicity, BAD??? Now, I know he’s a little strange, but strange is Good! Strange sells records, strange sells platinum records. Hence, Lady Gaga……Love him or hate him…Kanye dares to be different. He does things that even the most out-spoken rapper in hip hop would never think twice about doing. Collaborate with country singers, experiment with visual art in his videos, apply to fashion school and wear shutter shades with a mullet.
Lyrically, Kanye is undeniably one the best rappers ever. Now this of course, is a matter of opinion. However, if you have two ears, I’m sure you would have to agree with me. Other than rapping, Kanye is also popular for his unique sense of style. Over the years, he has evolved his style from Billionaire Boys Club to European chic. But he always gives you a taste of Chi-town…..never forgetting where he came from. You know what Kanye stands for by what he wears. He makes no apologizes for his expression of style. Not many men can pull off a leopard print Bolero jacket… But Kanye’s unusual style and over-sized ego has allowed him to pull off the most intricate ensembles. Mr. West continues to moves with the time and moves them forward.
